started pitching around 1930. His first major meet was the 1934 State
Meet. He pitched up until 1942 when he died suddenly. In 8 State meets he finished third 3 times, fourth once, and sixth once, averaging 68.1 one year and 67.8 another season. In the New England Meets he finished third once, fourth 3 times and fifth twice. His high averages in the New England were 68.8 in 1939 and 67.9 in 1938. Carl was also the top player on the Melrose-Medford, six team that won the State Team Championship in 1938, 1939 and 1940. |
