Albert Lord - Mechanic Falls, Maine: He started pitching in tournaments in 1960. Three years later he was in Class A competition. In 1967 he won his first Class A Championship in the Maine Spring Round-up.

He won his first Maine State title in 1968, and in the next 10 years he won the State Championship 8 times and finished second the other 2 years. In that same 10 year period he pitched in at least 5 or 6 tournaments each year, averaging over 70% in 18 tournaments.

In the last five years in 21 tournaments he averaged 71.9% winning 9 Class A titles and finished 2nd 4 times and 3rd 4 times and 4th four times.

His highest percentage was 1974 Maine State Meet when he averaged 79.6%. In that same year he averaged 77.6% for 13 games, winning 12 and losing one to finish 2nd in the New England meet.

Al has pitched in the World Championships 4 times so far. In Class B in 1968 averaging 64.8% and Class A in 1974 averaging 71.6%. In Class A in 1977 averaging 71.4% and in 1980 Al averaged 73% winning 21 games and losing 10.

In one nights competition he defeated 3 former World Champions including the 1979 Champion Mark Seibold. In 1978 Al won the Maine Open, Maine State, and Vermont Open and finished 3rd in the Keene Open and the New England Championships averaging 75% over all.

In 1979 Al won the Maine Spring Round-up averaging 82.2% for 5 games, he also won the Maine Open 69.3%, New England Championship 78.6% and finished 3rd in Oxford meet, 4th in Maine State and 5th in Keene Open. 1980 - So far has won the Keene Open 77.4% and finished 3rd in the Maine Open at 71.3%.
