Bob Traquair, Keene, N.H. longtime member of the Keene Horseshoe Club, was recognized for his contributions to the sport at the annual New England Tournament. Bob was inducted into the Hall of Fame as an organizer and player by the New England Horseshoe Pitchers Association.

Bob's interest in the sport took root at the 1968 world championship held at Wheelock Park In Keene. On the field of play he won five state Class A titles, the last in 1989, when he pitched 67.1% ringers. He holds a pair of state tourney records, including a 73.5% round-robin ringer percentage in 1977. In the 1979 finals he threw a 93.7% ringer game, missing only his first and 14th pitches out of 32 shoes. He became a N.H. Hall of Fame member in 1986.

Bob has served in leadership positions for the local club, state and New England associations. He was tournament director of the N.E. championships just completed, a familiar role but a little more difficult one this year due to the record turnout of 332 players.
