Richardson, Orange, Mass. Charley started pitching in tournaments in
1958 and since that time he has played from 4 to 7 meets every year. He
reached his peak in 1966 and for about 5 years he was one of the best
players in New England. For a few years he dropped down to class B player, but in 1975 he started to come back again. His best year was 1967 when he finished 3rd in the Ma. Open, Keene Open, and Vermont Open and 4th in the Ma. State, averaging approx. 66%. Charley finished 3rd in the New England meet twice and in 25 years he has averaged over 60% in 46 tournaments. From 1978 through 1982 he won the Ma. State Championship once, averaging 71.3% and finished 2nd once and 3rd twice. |
