David Wilson joined the NHPA in 1985, and began pitching in many tournaments throughout New England, and has taken both "Class" and "Tournament Champion" titles in many tournaments throughout New England

In these last 25 years David has also played in all but one NH State Tournament, winning the "Class A" state title 5 times since 2001. The high point of his pitching career is winning the state title in the year 2003 with a 73.67 ringer percent average. His averages in those State Titles are as follows; 2001 - 54.66%, 2002 - 67.41%, 2003 - 73.64%, 2006 - 55.06%, and 2007 - 56.56%.

In the New England Tournaments, David has competed in every New England Championship Tournament since he started pitching. His best was the New England Championship Class B - 1st place 2004.

David has also competed in 3 Eastern National Tournaments playing in Class B in 2004 and 2005. In 2006; Class B finished in second place and qualified for Class A.

David competed in 8 World Tournaments. 1994 Syracuse, NY Class D3 2nd place with 54.57% 1996 Gillette, Wyoming Class B3 7th place with 53.00% 1997 Kitchener, Ontario Class C3 1999 Greenville, Ohio Class D1 2000 Bismarck, ND Class B2 6th place with 52.17% 2002 Red Deer, Alberta Class B 2nd place with 60.00% 2003 Au Claire, WI Class A1 7th place with 59.50% 2008 York, PA Class A3 3rd place with 58.17%

David has been the tournament Director for the Ossipee Valley Horseshoe Club in Hiram, ME., off and on for a total of 4 years, and has been a strong influence towards many people joining the NHPA.

Although growing up in Keene, NH during the time that the Keene Horseshoe Club hosted 3 World Horseshoe Tournaments David was not aware of the fact that in the future, the game of horseshoe pitching was going to be such a big part of his life.

David Wilson and his wife of 33 years Andrea reside in Silver Lake, NH they have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
