Donald Pickering, Keene N.H. As far back as 1955, Don was active in the Keene Horseshoe Club organizing local, state or New England tournaments. Always maintaining a successful average for those endeavors.

He was a primary fundraiser for the 1965 and 1968 World Tournaments, as well as one of the main organizers of the tournaments. He also directed many other tournaments

Don held his club official post as secretary and President for the year 1961 and 1968 respectively. His interest to all these endeavors was always beneficial to our region.

As a player, Don was also quite impressive, but to enumerate all his tournaments here would be quite a long affair. He won his state Championship three years in a row, (1964-65-66) with an average well over 60%. He also won the New England BB Class in 1969 with a 61.2%.
