Frank Wagner, Darien Ct., started pitching in the early 1930's. The first office he held was Assistant Secretary of the Ct. State Assoc., from 1935 to 1942. He was also assistant Secretary of his local Club and of the Ct. State league during the same period. Frank was captain of his team in an in-door league from 1936-1939. After the war, he starting in 1945 he was Secretary, and team Captain of Tri-County League through 1948. He was State Association Secretary from 1945 to 1955. He was State Association Tournament director or Co-director from 1945 through 1970, running State meets, Ct. Opens, plus local tournaments every year. From 1955 through 1970 Frank was either President or Vice-President each year. He helped organize the New Canaan Club in 1965 and became their tournament director, and still serves in that capacity.

As a pitcher his best average was 55% in 1937. He finished third in Class A of the Ct. State Championship in 1953. He won Class B in State meet in early 1960's, and finished second in Class B of the Ma. Open meet one year.
