Jim Pagliarulo was discovered in 1994. At that time he was pitching from 40 feet and was told he could move up to 30 feet because he was over 70 yrars of age. In 1995 he joined the CT HPA and starting competing as an Elder. Jim pitched a lazy three-quarter turn which stayed flat and hit the pin every time. He always wore a sweater during tournaments regadless of the trmperature.

From 1995 to 2005, Jim pitched in 85 tournaments. His low average was 69.92% in 2004 and his high average was 78.96 in 1997. He participated in ten CT State Championships and was Ct Elder Champion ten times.

He also participated in 10 NE Championships winning Class A 1n 1999, (from 30'). In 2000 he won the NE Class A Championship with seven wins and 1 loss, defeating Brian Simmons in a playoff match, pitching 83.86% (from 30') against Simmons 83.89%.

Jim won the NE Elder Championship 4 times. In 2006 Jim stopped competing due to his failing health.
