Joseph Comeau of Ma. Pitched 21 years of top flight competition until he got bursitis and had to quit pitching in 1965. After a seven year layoff he started playing again in 1972.

He started pitching in 1933 and won the Greater Lynn title in 1935-1937-1938, averaging 68.6%. His best years were from 1950 through 1963 when Edgar Landry was in his prime.

Joe won the Ma. State Championships 4 times and finished 2nd 7 times Landry, averaging 69% for nine years that records are available. Joe won the New England Championships twice and finished 2nd 8 times averaging 67% when they played either 11 or 15 games of 50 points. He won 2 Ma. Open titles averaging 71% and one Keene Open averaging 70%.

The highlight of his career was in 1963 when he won the Ma. State, New Englands, Ma. Open, and Keene Open all in the same year averaging 72%, with a record of 36 wins and only 4 loses.
