| Mike
lives in Bristol, VT with his wife Debra. He has two Children, Jeff and
his wife Ginger and Lisa. He also has two Grandsons Colin and Logan. He
works for the United States Post Office, a Job that he enjoys. Mike has been in organized Horseshoes for the past 34 years. He joined the Sodbusters Horseshoe club in 1976. He has been active in the club, holding many offices over the years. He promotes Horseshoes to the fullest. He also loves to promote Tournaments and gets new members in the NHPA. Mike has been very active holding offices on the State Level. He has been the Vermont Hall of Fame Chairperson since 1987. With his promotion of Horseshoesw, he is responsible for a lot of Vermont Players playing in the New England Horseshoe Championship. Mike held the position of Chairperson of the New England Hall of Fame Committee from 1997 to 2008. Prior to this he was Co-Chair of this Commitee. He did an excellent job of retyping all of the resumes in the book. Also makinmg sure the display board was up to date with pitchers and researching the information on the individual winnwes. His efforts have rewarded some very deserving individuals. Mike also received the Don Harrision award in 1999. When Mike isn't busy organizing, selling, working on committee ect,,. He does enjoy the game of horseshoes as well. He has played in hundreds of tournaments aroun New England. He averages in the low forty's but has been known to throw quite a few games oin the fifty's. Mike is also in the Vermont Hall of Fame. For his dedication and commitment to this sport, I feel it is time for him to be inducted into the New England Hall of Fame as an Organ |
