Normand Rioux, Conn, started in 1960 in Conn. State Meet. In 17 years Norm won Class A five times, 2nd twice and 3rd four times. In the New England meet in 6 tries he won 4 times and 2nd one. In the Keene Open he won he won it twice and came in 2nd one in three tries. In three tries in the Mass. Open he finished 2nd one and 3rd one, and the Conn. Open he won the title 3 times, and finished 2nd 4 times in 12 tries.

Between 1970 and 1977 Norm played in 34 tournaments and he averaged over 70% ringer in 23 of those, and in 10 of them he went over 75%. Norm played in 3 World Meets so far and qualified in Class A in all of them. In 1974 he finished 12th, winning 24 games and losing 11 with an average of 76%. He beat Zadroga and Elmer Hohl one after the other, averaging over 82%. In 1975 Norm finished 22nd with a record of 15 and 20 and a ringer percent of 73.6%. In 1976 he averaged 70.2% winning 18 and losing 17.

In 1977 Norm won the New England meet again, averaging 76.5% with 15 wins and no losses. He also won the Sam Bartram, Conn. Closed and Conn. State Titles with a 74.8% in the State meet.
