Sherman Green, Conn. Sherm started when he was a youngster helping Ted Allen in his Exhibition pitching but then he quit during the war and didn't start again until 1964.

He reached his peak in 1966 through 1969 before he became ill and later died in 1973.

Sherm won the Conn. State title in 1965 and 1968 and finished second in 1969 averaging 69% or better in each of those years.

In six years in the New England meets he averaged 67% and he won the title in 1967 with 70%. In the Maine Open he finished 2nd once and 3rd once in two tries, and in the Mass. Open in 5 years he finished 3rd, 4th and 5th with an average of approx.63%.

Sherm played in Class B of the World Meets at Keene in 1965 and 1968. Although he was eliminated before the finals both times, he averaged 62.9% in 1965 and 69.6% in 1968 winning 5 and losing 2.
